Help
Billvo is buttons, not commands. Here is a normal day, and where things are kept.
A normal day
- Add bills - drop the day's PDF bills, photos of paper bills or an Excel register onto Billvo.
- Read - Billvo checks every bill: GSTIN, tax split, totals, repeats. PDFs are read exactly; a photo is filled in for you and you confirm it.
- Import into Tally - open the Tally file's folder. If there is a "new suppliers" file, import it first (Gateway of Tally > Import > Masters), then the bills (Gateway of Tally > Import > Vouchers). Press I imported it into Tally.
- Review - press Check on each flagged bill, compare with the bill, fix anything wrong, confirm.
The other screens
- Purchases - every bill read, with search by supplier, bill number, GSTIN or amount.
- Bank - drop a statement from net banking; the balance is checked and a Tally file made.
- GST - the month's input tax, and the GSTR-2B match (drop the 2B JSON from the GST portal).
- Suppliers - what you owe, who is late, and a supplier's statement compared with your books.
- Expense claims - staff receipts read and listed; the owner approves.
- Settings - company, your own rules (like "check every bill above 5 lakh"), language, account, backups.
Where things are kept (Documents\Billvo)
- incoming - bills waiting to be read. done\<date> - that day's bills (unchanged), the Excel sheet and the Tally files.
- Backups: Documents\Billvo backups - one after every day's bills, the last 14 kept.
Why did a bill go to Review?
The reason is written next to it: a GSTIN that isn't valid, a total that doesn't add up, the same bill twice, a photo, a new supplier the bill doesn't confirm, or one of your own rules. Press Check, fix it, confirm.
